1960 Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale:
Black With Tan Interior
Inspired by the B.A.T. car design studies, Alfa Romeo built just 1366 Giulietta Sprint Speciales starting in 1958 and ending in 1962. The beautiful Bertone body is unique in that it looks good from every angle; more like rolling sculp-ture than just a sports car.
The records show this car was delivered to Paris and ended up inside a chateau with the exterior wall bricked over. The wall was removed and the car shipped to California where is underwent a total ‘rotisserie’ restoration. All parts of the car were inspected and restored as needed. It is a correct number matching ex-ample in ‘show winning’ condition with a few hundred miles on the full resto-ration which was completed in 2014. The engine bay and undercarriage are both highly detailed, all the way down to the correct factory decals. Correct finishes are applied where appropriate.
While eligible for a growing number of tour and rally events, the highly detailed, comprehensively restored nature of this Giulietta makes it an outstanding candidate for concours showing. With cars of this era appreciating, it is those of limited production, like the Sprint Speciale, which will enjoy the most significant increases in value; hence, a timely investment.
